“ A must for anyone visiting this part of the country. Even worth a detour. This historic hotel/restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, interesting memorabilia and a friendly staff! We got the crab nachos - usually I’m not a fan of shellfish and this sounded like an odd combo but it was great! We got the grilled pork chop and grilled chicken breast with sides of baked potatoes and side salads. The food came out relatively quickly - you had just enough time to finish one before the other came. The food was fresh and delicious. Small things made a difference. The whipped butter they make in house was a game changer on the baked potato, the house made ranch was the cherry on the top of the salads. We unfortunately did not have space for dessert - the portions are very generous. At approximately 15 per dish, you get great quality and quantity of food. ”
“ A very neat experience and a hidden gem. The restaurant has daily specials. We came on a Wednesday and had their fried chicken which was excellent. That night they also had karaoke so the atmosphere was very lively. The next day they also had local banjo group play. ”

The rustic atmosphere is priceless and it is so awesome that the hotel/restaurant still operates today. With amazing live bluegrass music, fun karaoke nights, and great food, this place is a must do. The food is exceptional; do try the fried chicken...there’s none better. I’m a big fan of the locally-made moonshine options and the strawberry spinach salad. I do recommend getting a reservation for live music as they get filled up because this place is really great. I hope you enjoy as much as my husband and I do. ”
